Ibis Debates at the University of Miami

2016 — Coral Gables, FL/US

Hello!

The University of Miami Debate Team and the School of Communication invite you to the Ibis Debates held at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida on Saturday, December 3, 2016!

The Ibis Debates is a high school policy debate tournament on the 2016-17 China topic: “Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially increase its economic and/or diplomatic engagement with the People’s Republic of China.” The tournament will offer 4 rounds in the Varsity & Novice divisions. The Novice division will be a packet tournament but keep in mind that will include the Human Rights Condition CP and the Cap K by the time our tournament starts.

This is a FREE tournament that the University of Miami Debate Team is offering as a service to the community. We will provide breakfast, lunch and awards, both for top teams and speakers.

While the UM is proud to offer a lot of judging, every qualified judge that you can bring will help us out tremendously.

We hope you will join us!

Sincerely,

David Steinberg and Patrick Waldinger

Director of Debate and Assistant Director of Debate

University of Miami
